Making the World a More Creative Place by Making Visual Arts Experiences Accesible to All People

About ArtJamz

Our Philosophy

Our History

We are committed to making visual art experiences accessible to all. By providing innovative, affordable and interactive ways for people to engage in art, ArtJamz has opened up new possibilities for creativity, self-expression and community building. ArtJamz has redefined the traditional concept of art, making it more accessible by offering a range of creative activities, such as painting parties, private events and art classes. We have made it possible for people of all ages and skill levels to explore their creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment.  By providing affordable, fun and accessible art experiences, ArtJamz is helping to ensure that the transformative power of art is available to all who seek it.

ArtJamz® was founded in 2010. The ah-ah moment came when Clements was up late one night painting, drinking, and hanging out with a group of friends. “Wouldn’t this be great if there was a place we could do this?” he thought. In 2010, we opened are first paint-and-sip studio in Washington D.C.'s Dupont Circle. Out of the gate, ArtJamz® received Best of DC awards from The Washington Post, Washingtonian, and others. From 2012 to 2020, we operated three locations in: Dupont Circle and Brookland in Washington and in Arlington, Virginia. During that time nearly 200,000 people unleashed their inner artist with ArtJamz and their team of creative enablers.

Like many of us, ArtJamz® couldn’t foresee the changes 2020 would bring. In the wake of the pandemic, we closed all of our retail locations. What seemed like the end of the business actually presented the opportunity for ArtJamz to better achieve its primary mission - Making the world a more creative place. As part of our emergence from the pandemic we are opening a new studio in Bethesda, Maryland in June 2023.
